“Getting to the place I wanted to be” - Karl’s story

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we’ve been catching up with some of our graduates about why a course with The Learning Foundry was the right choice for them.

Karl made a change from his role in customer services into the housing sector with no prior experience. After completing a Level 3 Chartered Institute of Housing qualification, we met up with Karl to find out about this change and how The Learning Foundry helped him make it.

“I had heard so many positive things about training with The Learning Foundry, that’s what convinced me to apply. While working in customer service was a foundation for a career in housing, I had no other experience. People I spoke to told me that I would be supported.

“The Learning Foundry made it work. Their workshops were a comfortable environment to learn in. The one-to-one tuition and support was also really useful to me.

“I knew I could go to my assessors at any time. I was never worried about asking questions and I knew that I would get the answers quickly.

“The content on the course helps massively in my current role. I have a broad understanding of the sector and I’m able to communicate positively with customers about queries and concerns.

“I enjoy my role now and hope to progress within the housing sector. I would love to complete a Level 4 Chartered Institute of Housing qualification with the aim of managing my own team in the future.

“I would recommend anyone giving The Learning Foundry a go, they have my seal of approval.”
