I got a Distinction and learnt so much I didn’t know before: Natalie’s Story

“I'm proud to have achieved a Distinction in my Level 3 Certificate in Housing! I learnt so much that I didn’t know before!”
Natalie is a Sundry Debt Officer at The Regenda Group and has been working in housing for the past six years. Natalie started her Level 3 Housing q ualification with The Learning Foundry last year and has recently completed the course .
We wanted to catch up with Natalie to hear all about her experience:
“One thing that I'm proud of since gaining my Level 3 Certificate in Housing is achieving a distinction ! I’m really proud that I managed to keep up with it and pass all my units whilst doing my day-to-day job.
“ I would definitely recommend TLF. I enjoyed my journey with them, and received constant support from my development coach, who kept pushing me to do my best and always got back quickly to me with any questions that I had .
“ The best bit about learning with TLF was the different way of learning – the distanced learning was so convenient and much more accessible . I found it really interactive , learning with other housing professionals during the workshops allowed me to hear all about their experiences and their advice. I think it’s so important to learn from other people and learn from different perspectives! I found it really useful , I’m glad that I did it!
“The information that I learnt on the course was important and strongly linked to my job role . Before I didn’t know how important it was for customers to have their say and know how we develop processes - but now I understand all the different opportunities for tenants to have their say. The course also helped me increase my confidence , especially during the public speaking presentations.
“ Completing the course and developing my knowledge about the different aspects of the housing sector has made me even more interested in the job I do and the sector I work in. The course has encouraged me to do more reading and keep up to date with the news to understand what is going on in housing .
“Developing my knowledge about the data protection act and equality act and different legislations was interesting and very useful as I can apply it across different aspects of my job role, from collecting rent from tenants to speaking to third parties.
“If I could give advice to myself a year ago, I would say keep going, you can do it! You might be finding it hard now, but you’ll get there!
“ For housing staff thinking about getting training , I would tell them to do it! The development coaches are really supportive . Y ou’ll be so proud of yourself at the end of it and will learn so much that you didn’t know before ! ”
Well done Natalie, we’re so proud of you!
