“I will be forever grateful for what The Learning Foundry have helped me to accomplish” - Julie’s story
For Julie, getting qualified in housing was a must-do. With over 20 years of experience, Julie saw the sector was changing and knew that she needed to get herself a qualification to back up her experience.
In February 2025, Julie completed her Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3 that she has been studying since July 2023 . We recently caught up with Julie to hear all about her experience with The Learning Foundry:
“I’m so happy to have completed my CIH Level 3! Even though I have gone through some difficult times during this course, my coach, Emily, has supported me all the way. I will be forever grateful for what she has helped me to accomplish .
“The information that I learnt during the course was definitely relevant to my job role, from customer service, rental income management to anti-social behaviour. The information has developed my understanding and kept me up to date with different things going on in the housing sector.
“Learning with The Learning Foundry is much better than any online training, you have a person who is having an actual conversation with you and going through things with you. It’s important to have that interaction to do well.
“My coach, Emily, was absolutely brilliant and very supportive. She got me through my apprenticeship, she constantly supported me and always explained things to me in a really clear way. The apprenticeship was made a lot easier to complete because I had constant support from my coach and The Learning Foundry throughout!
“Emily was always very approachable. I had difficulty concentrating and she really helped me. Having a good tutor who is really supportive makes such a big difference.
“The course has helped my career by making me aware of important things in the housing sector and different housing regulations that I need to know about. I use all the information that I learnt in my day-to-day role, it’s developed my knowledge and my skills .
“The Learning Foundry encourage you to document your progress in a detailed and organised way which really helped to keep me focused and able to plan what I was doing. I loved how the workshops were planned out properly.
“I would definitely like to do more training in the future and have already recommended The Learning Foundry to people that I work with!
