PLACED Partnership – Wrapped!
The PLACED Partnership Academy with M&Y Maintenance and Construction and The Regenda Group is complete!
Last month, we hosted the final PLACED Partnership Academy workshop with The Regenda Group, M&Y Maintenance and Construction and our friends at PLACED.
The programme brought together young people aged 14-18 from Liverpool and the Wirral to explore the differences and similarities between the areas they live in (New Ferry and Grove Street), get young people thinking about the communities and their needs and wants. And, of course, it couldn’t be a TLF programme without exploring the range of careers available in construction and built environment industries. The groups worked on two live sites and their input will be used as part of the design process, as requested by Regenda and M&Y.
All the young people on the programme heard from experts from Regenda, M&Y and John McCall Architects. Groups headed out on site and worked together to create 3D models of each development!
The young people had their say identifying ways to engage their communities in a diverse range of activities, events and opportunities, and presented their ideas back to the heads of each development.
Each young person finished the programme with a certificate of achievement – and of course, the skills, knowledge and experience on where to start in a career in construction and the built environment – well done guys!
