Regenda Group film ‘Locked Away’ shortlisted for National Smiley Award

With the help of Music in Mind, ‘Locked Away’ a musical piece was composed to capture how people were affected by the pandemic. The piece is supported by short film capturing the personal stories of people who live and work in the areas we operate in. It features the perspectives of our students, alongside Petrus’ service users and residents at Regenda Homes. We operated on the front line during the pandemic, and it was important to us that those voices were heard.

Claire Lee, Managing Director of The Learning Foundry: said:

“It means a lot to see our film shortlisted for an award. We were on the front line when our learners, colleagues, friends and families faced lockdown and the impact on people cannot be overstated. This powerful film brings that impact to light.

“We’re proud of our learners involved in the project and our colleagues and customers across The Regenda Group. We are all part of history now!”

Composer from Music in Mind, John McHugh, celebrates the collaboration:

“It’s great to see the piece being recognised. It has been great to see the work between Regenda Homes, Petrus and The Learning Foundry come together.”

First premiered in March 2020 at the Good Business Festival featuring musicians from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, it is amazing to see the piece and members of our Group recognised.
