A new training programme in collaboration with Petrus

TLF Project 5 Intro

What is Project 5?

Project 5 is a free training programme to give those who have experienced homelessness or inequality the skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals. It supports participants to boost their self-esteem and help them to develop employability skills such as CV writing, communication, and teamwork. Those taking part in the programme will be fully supported throughout by an Employment Coach from The Learning Foundry and a Petrus Support Worker. Project 5 takes place at Petrus Hub in Rochdale.

With Project 5, participants can learn at their own pace over their 6 month training journey, with a further support if they move into employment. There's a total of five modules, including your plans, your skills, your community, your future and your career.  They also get the opportunity to experience a work placement, learn new skills, feel more confident and get ready for work, as well as taking part in a residential trip to Trafford Hall in Cheshire.

Project 5 quotes

“It seems like we’ve been together for a lot longer. It just seems like we’ve known each other for ages, not that we’ve just started the project. We’ve come together. It’s like a community.”
